He contributed to Drag Racing News a publication which he took over, editing and publishing it for over a decade. Crazy Horses and DragRacing books contain many of his images from over the years. These days his main work alongside his international coverage for publications around the world is compiling and editing the Santa Pod FIA event programmes.
Andy Willsheer attended his first race in 1972 getting trackside in 1973 and spending a large amount of time in the US, a habit that has continued every year attending NHRA events on the west coast and Florida. His work has been published in daily newspapers and he was named ‘Hi-Riser’ by Car Craft magazine in 1983. Andy works for the Essen Motor Show in Germany bringing in cars from the US to wow the German public.
Our congratulations go out to both of them along with our sincere thanks for their contributions to our sport.
