BATTLE FOR THE 2021 JEGS ALLSTARS CONTINUES

NHRA officials have announced the schedule of qualifying regional and divisional events for the 2021 JEGS Allstars event which pits the top points earners from NHRA’s four geographic regions and seven geographic divisions in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series against each other in the culmination of a multi-year points battle. Contested at the U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway, the JEGS Allstars is televised on FS1 as part of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series show.

The Divisional Team Champion will split $20,000 and the winners in the Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car categories earn $7,000 each, while the winners in Competition Eliminator and Super Stock earn $6,000 each. Top Sportsman and Top Dragster winners earn $5,000 and Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas, and Super Street winners earn $4,500. Runners-up in all categories get $2,000.

Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car contestants will compete in the Regional Team Championship for their chance at an additional share of $5,000. The East Region will look to repeat as Regional Champions after winning in 2020.

The Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series competitors in Comp Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock Eliminator, Super Comp, Super Gas, and Super Street, along with competitors in Top Sportsman and Top Dragster, vie for team and individual honors and a share of the $124,000 purse. In 2020, the NHRA West Central Division, NHRA Division 5, took home the overall team title.

"All of us at JEGS are excited to have the JEGS Allstars Race held at the NHRA US Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway," said Scott "Woody" Woodruff, JEGS Director of Media and Motorsports. "This is the most prestigious race for NHRA sportsman racers, it's a natural fit for this specialty event to be held on our sports biggest stage. We know what a big thing this is for the racers, their families, friends, and sponsors. It's a true win-win-win situation for all involved. We look forward to making 2021 the best year yet for the event along with the dedicated staff at NHRA."
